Endometrial Suction Curette is a type of medical
device used for obtaining a sample of the endometrial tissue lining the uterus.
The procedure, called an endometrial biopsy, is performed to evaluate the
health of the endometrium and to check for any abnormal growths such as uterine
cancer. The curette is a small device that is inserted into the uterus through
the cervix to obtain the tissue sample.
The Pipelle Endometrial Suction Curette is a commonly used
diagnostic tool in gynecology. During a gynecologic exam, the Pipelle is
inserted into the uterus through the cervix and used to obtain a sample of the
endometrial tissue. The Pipelle is considered a minimally invasive
procedure and is often preferred over more invasive diagnostic methods because
it is quick, safe, and has minimal discomfort.
